Petition puts county Covid-19 law on hold

Lake County’s newly enacted Covid-19 enforcement ordinance has been sidetracked, at least for now, by the filing of a referendum petition Wednesday. Frank Dellosso of Lakeport is the chief proponent of the effort. Dellosso and other organizers filed 2,507 raw signatures with the clerk to the Board of Supervisors, and those signatures are now being verified by the Registrar of Voters. The petition needs approximately 2,160 valid signatures to be certified.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
